Today was the last day of school and the official start of summer vacation around here. We like to do it up big time with an ice cream party after school lets out! I love ice cream and I affectionately pass that love along to my children by using the end of school as an excuse to splurge on this cool, tasty treat. To this day, my grandparents make sure to have plenty of ice cream in the freezer if they know I’m going to be around.
Here’s a collage of our 3rd annual start of summer ice cream celebration and please pardon my daughter’s open mouthed ice cream expose. We moms try to take beautiful pictures of our children but sometimes things just don’t turn out so beautiful and we end up with food half chewed and exposed on camera. It’s just a part of it.

But with the summer coming, I was looking for a way to get a little creative energy out, to calm my nerves with impending exciting things to come, and to start wrapping my mind around a new Bible study and how I’m going to present that material. Since I was looking forward to getting a new blog post up, I came up with this idea to cover all of those needs. A coloring page with the verse I needed to study. It’s something I can do to chill a minute, it gives me a chance to be creative, and while I’m coloring, I can reflect on what it all means.
I hope you’re not a afraid to get your color on. Click here, print, and get to it! Have fun coloring. I’m going to use mine to decorate my new binder and if the kids get antsy, I printed a few extra for them to work on.
